I am back after a lengthy hiatus, and I hope to promote my blog more and garner a writing gig! Yeah, I know this is the dream of everyone who writes. Yes, I call myself a writer.
But, I guess it is my fault that I haven’t become a successful writer as I never really put myself out there. Wasting money on a blog that is not getting any traffic is disconcerting.
Truthfully, what can I do about this when I am not into social media? Perhaps I need to put myself out there, bite the bullet, and promote my blog by doing a video. What do you think?
So, where does AI come in? Well, I don’t want to use someone else’s words and consequently, I don’t want them using mine. But, can our students/young people today write a REAL essay? Can they critically think? Do they rely on AI to do the work for them?
The above three-fold question is just one of the many questions I would like to explore and answer. Is AI a tool to write the whole article without much effort from the writer?
Also, does AI supplement or totally replace the educator? Educators encourage the use of AI to solve a problem, but prohibit its use in a written, mathematical, or scientific student presentation. This in itself is contradictory adding confusion to the student utilizing the feature.
It is a fact that there are students that are not fond of the research and write aspect. AI can be a temptation to the student who is not academically savvy. My opinion is if the educator utilizes this feature often and encourages the student to embrace its use, then the student should not face penalty or failure. Period!
One last thing, my husband has encouraged me to keep going. I really don’t want to spend the money on a basically dead blog!
So, if you are reading this, please send me a word of encouragement or be honest and tell me not to proceed. As the saying goes, the struggle is real, I need suggestions on how to make my writing supplement my retirement income.
Until I hear from SOMEONE, have a fabulous day.
